M. Y. BOUNTY

Designed and constructed in 1936 by renowned British boat builders Camper & Nicholson, the 78ft Motor Yacht Bounty began life as the luxury cruising vessel of a ‘Gentleman of means’. When World War II broke however she left behind the life of leisure and operated as part of the Inshore Yacht Patrol, mounted with Oerlikon Naval Anti-Aircraft gun.

Her proudest moment was undeniably her prominent participation in the landing at Dunkirk (Operation Dynamo) where between 9pm and midnight on 31st May 1940, Bounty rescued 1150 men from the beaches including Lord Gort, the Commander-in-Chief of the stranded British battlion.

Over 70 years and many heroic adventures later M.Y. Bounty has been relaunched, after an extensive but sympathetic refurbishment, as a classically stylish charter yacht. With interiors by Paolo Moschino for Nicholas Haslam and a fully integrated Bose presentation and entertainment system she is ideal for a wide range of events, private or corporate, formal or intimate, and can host up to thirty guests in luxurious surroundings.
